Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 3 large egg whites
- 8 reduced fat cheese sticks
- Garlic salt
- Pepper
- Cooking spray
- 1 cup pasta or pizza sauce
- Preheat the oven to 450°F and place foil on a baking sheet.
- Put the flour in a shallow dish. Put the bread crumbs in another dish.
- In a medium bowl, whip the egg whites until they are extremely foamy but not quite holding peaks.
- Cover the cheese sticks in flour, then egg whites, then cover in bread crumbs.
- Put them all on the baking sheet, and season generously with garlic salt and pepper. Then spray them all with the cooking spray.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until the breading is golden brown and the cheese is melted throughout.*
- Serve with the pizza/pasta sauce for dipping.
The good news is, even if they're messy, they taste delicious!
