A generous scoop of this warm dessert with vanilla ice cream on top is a heavenly delight. Peaches can also be used instead of apples, but I haven't tried it.
Also, don't be daunted by the list of ingredients--almost everything should already be in your kitchen.

Ingredients
- 6-8 cups peeled and sliced tart apples (use your new apple peeler/slicer I talked about!)
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/2 cups oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2/3 cup melted butter
- Vanilla ice cream
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine the first 5 ingredients.
- Mix well and place in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder and melted butter.
- Crumble together well, and sprinkle over the apple mixture.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and get ready for a flavor explosion in your mouth.
