Simple Cajun Seasoning Mix

This simple seasoning packs a lot of flavor in just a few ingredients.  If you have an extra spice container, just throw it in there so you always have it on hand!  I like to put it on grilled chicken to give it a bit of spice, but you can also put it on beef, pork, or potato wedges.
Thanks to Joy over at Allrecipes.com for the great recipe!

Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper (if you don't have this, just replace it with regular pepper)
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
Directions:
  1. Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
  2. Good for up to 6 months.

  1. A high-quality essential Cajun Seasoning mix. I regularly make about one third of this at a time, and then I omit 2 Tbsp. of the salt. I also boot it up a small piece by adding a tsp. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
